Volume I Number 4 Fall 1956 Western Printing & Lithography, Poughkeepsie, New York 1956 44 Pages, Color & B/W Photos The cover photo shows Karen Pendleton and several adult actors in a publicity still from Westward Ho the Wagons!. This film, heavily promoted on the show, tried to appeal to family audiences, but proved too tame for the big screen. Mouseketeer fans also felt let down by the limited roles for Doreen, Tommy, Cubby, and Karen. With this issue ads appeared on the inside front cover and both sides of the back cover. There were a lot of small articles, but no main features, and nothing on the Mouseketeers. |
