The Original Mickey Mouse Club Show

Walt Disney Home Video: The Mickey Mouse Club

In 1994 the Disney Company issued this set of ten VHS video tapes from the original Mickey Mouse Club. Each one had three twenty-minute shows, and the first five had a new eight-minute introductary segment by Annette. The shows were drawn from the third and fourth seasons on ABC, and from the first season in syndication. When the compilation DVD The Best of the Mickey Mouse Club was issued in 2005 it consisted entirely of episodes that had already been featured on these tapes.

Volume Four     Featuring "The Hardy Boys"

This tape consists of third season shows, the first and last of which later appeared on the Best of the Mickey Mouse Club DVD. The introduction by Annette talks about her first crush Lonnie, her best friend Sharon, her dancing partner Bobby, the live performances at Disneyland, Roy Williams and Jimmie Dodd. She also mentions how the Mouseketeers were divided into Red, White, and Blue Teams, and how the Red Team did Roll Call, and how she was put on the Red Team from the start and no one seems to know why...

Pet Shop 1st Episode: Fun with Music Day
This third season show starts with "Pet Shop", a two part skit. Will You Pay Attention to Me is sung and danced solo by Darlene. What'll Ya Do? has Darlene teased by Tommy, Bobby, and Lonnie, until Roy comes to the rescue. The show continues with the introduction to the second Hardy Boys serial, The Mystery of Ghost Farm, followed by Doreen singing The Race is Won by Running.
Newsreel 2nd Episode: Cartoon/Newsreel Day
This is a third season show with the usual opening, followed by an Encyclopedia special on shipbuilding in Japan, hosted and narrated by Tommy Cole. Next come a Mousekartoon, Mr. Mouse Takes a Trip, introduced by Cubby. The show concludes with a very truncated Alma Mater.
Talent Winners Cheryl Wineberg, Ronnie & Riley Wilson 3rd Episode: Talent Round-Up Day

She then does an instrumental latin tap dance with brothers Ronnie and Riley Wilson, while Tommy, Annette, Linda, Doreen, Cheryl, and Jimmie watch. This is followed by episode 5 in the Newsreel Special "Hawaiian Adventure", narrated by Annette. The show concludes with a Mousekefable by Jimmie.
